Why is Milk So Pricey In Thailand?
This is an interesting question, and only answered by Europeans. I just returned from te US where 100% milk was $4.62 a gallon for name brand and Walmart brand $2.75. So, if you take that and do the division to liters and convert into baht, that price in Thailand would be 85.5 baht for 2L bottle for brand name and 51 baht for 2L Walmart brand. Another example, in US for 1 dozen of lg eggs $4.00 or about 142 baht. To buy the typical box of 30 eggs in the US, 356 baht while in Thailand at makro, currently 155 baht for 30 eggs So, in the US, milk is cheap but eggs are like gold! -

Harris Confronts Trump’s Remarks on Her Identity with Calls for Unity and Respect
This!!! Why not make the entire governmental bureaucracy elected so they will be as honest, uncorrupted, and efficient as our representatives in Washington 😸 Absolutely no need for experts in their field(s) in the government. Let's have a bunch of goobers like MTG, Bobert, and Vance running the nuclear energy commission. Weirdo. -

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
You may well be right. But the wording (my emphasis) - "Any pension paid .. in respect of services of a governmental nature rendered to that State or subdivision or local authority thereof shall be taxable only in that State." is slightly ambiguous ? My pension is certainly "any pension". It was certainly paid "in respect of services of a governmental nature." (In this case the UK government) "...... shall be taxable only in that State." It remains "any pension". Whether it matters if it is or was a civil service pension is unclear in the wording and the pension funds do come from services in respect of a governmental nature and "shall be taxable only in the UK". I'm not saying that I am right or that you are wrong, I'm just trying to determine the ambiguity. -

Why are there so many farang lefties in Thailand
Two reasons for "left wings" in Thailand: 1) Because they can afford it...👍 2) Because you don't hear much about the right wings in their 300,000+ baht a month rented luxury villas; they spend time to enjoy the life that their money can buy, and don't sit on social media all day long complaining over inequality... -

On Nut Ghetto
Never lived there but had a friend there. And one of my dentists has a clinic in the area, so I passed through several times. And I am not unsure if this is the same On Nut the OP is talking about. Admittedly I was never there at night, but during the daytime, I never felt like that. Maybe OP is just trolling? I wonder what he'd say about a friendly family resort by the sea 120 km south east... -

Slow heartbeat
I mentioned to my doctor about heart rate in the 40's on smartwatch when I'm sleeping. She said it is OK as long as not feeling dizzy or faint, and some people do have low heartbeats. I'm in my 50's, slightly overweight, not an endurance sportsman! 😅 -
