Could someone please advise.

I have known lady for about 4 months and we have decided to try and get a 3 month tourist visa. She actually owns a percentage of a bar with her cousin can this be a problem with employment proof?

I have all the relative relationship proof (phone records, western union etc). I will also be able to support her even though she has 50 000 bt in bank ( is this enough, and would a sudden cash injection 1 month prior to apply look to suspect?).

Basically i need to know what i have to take as proof and what she needs to take.

Many thanks.

I wrote a reply for you which was quite lengthy and detailed but has dissapeared into cyberspace without reaching the forum. It cotained exerpts from a refusal letter from my niece but is pretty much the standard reply, anyway this is one paragraph whic may clear some issues for you.

"There are various legal requirements that must be met by all applicants before a visitor visa for Oz can be granted. As the decision maker I must be satisfied that you meet Oz's health and character standards, have access to adequate funds for you support during the period of you proposed visit, and that your expressed intention only to visit Oz is genuine. The likelihood of you overstaying, seeking to remain in Oz or applying for another temporary visa after your arrival in Oz are also matters that have to be assessed."

That's supposedly the criteria they use but in reality the CW's can be quite cruel and predgudiced (spelling not good) and the will quote any subclause that suits them to qualify their decision, the favourite is subclause 676.221 (2) c, which should be available on the DIMA website somewhere.

good luck

You may find it hard on the basis of your length of relationship....not long enough.

They require 6 months of bank transactions, a sudden cash injection will only raise their suspicions.

50,000 in her bank would be sufficient, especially if you provide evidence of your income too.

The bar shouldnt be a problem,

Go to the Aussie immigration website and you can view the application forms there as well as all required proof and documentation required.
