Yes the guy at the pool I go to was busy skimming leaves today too One thing about Thailand when it gets ready to storm for even a short blast, the winds etc. can be quite fierce. What about flood season? What about when it rains non-stop for 48hrs? What about when we don't see rain for 10 days in the rainy season? Why are you trying to prevent discussion of rain?
