I make kinetic sculptures and functional sculptures (lamps mostly) and I am considering spending November through March in Thailand. I would like to continue my work in Thailand and set-up a workshop/studio if possible. I use metal and woodworking tools, including some relatively sophisticated cnc tools. I prefer working by myself or with one or two helpers at most. So I have many questions about the feasability of doing this in Thailand. Legal issues with visas and working? I need about 100m2 of space for a workshop and living space. Access to purchasing quality tools, including cnc. Probably a used truck or van. And do it as cheaply as possible :o I would like a nice location so that I can enjoy the weather and countryside, beaches, mountains, etc. So am I dreaming of is this possible? thanks rick

doing it legally yes, you are dreaming. You can only 'work' with a work permit. You wont get one alone without your own business.

Illegally speaking you would 99.99% get away with it for such a short time.

Arent you thinking of rather a large outlay though for such a short period??
