Jabra Bt3030 Headset

Featured Replies

Anyone bought one of these bluetooth headsets from Jabra (the BT3030 model)? They are all over the place in Bangkok. Mine works with the mobile phone, but I have never been able to use it with Vista? Anyone else got it to work with Vista? I can only get stereo headphones service to work, but not the mic?

Bluetooth headsets do work in Visa, actually seems to be improved support over XP. I use mine all the time for both skype and music. Did you have a previous Bluetooth headset working on Vista? Or is this the first one you tried?

If you've never had a headset working on your computer before, then the problem is quite likely with your BT adapter and not your headset. Take a look and see if you have the latest drivers installed, that might fix you up right away. Some older BT adapters just don't support headsets very well (or not at all), so you might just be out of luck. Good news is, BT adapters are quite a bit cheaper than they used to be, and most have good support for headsets now - but make sure it says it support the BT Headset Profile before you buy.
