I don't think there is one, but there is something very close or may I even say better. Daddy Donuts, there is a branch in Paragon, ground floor at the back left hand side.

Having checked with Krispy Kream, the closest store is at Berjaya Times Square in Kuala Lumpur.

Might be stale by the time you get them up hear Vic. :)

I tell you man, Daddy Donuts is close! If not dare I say it, BETTER!

Then this I gotta check out. Where I worked in the States I was well known for my fondness for donuts. But I find the DD and MD here to be sorely lacking, in fact not worth eating.

Do they taste better than Dunkin' Donuts ?

They tried getting a foothold in Canada recently, but Tim Horton's sent them scurrying back across the border. :)

That is a joke, right? Dunkin' Donuts is the most horrendous donut place on the planet.

Daddy Donuts (in Paragon) is really good (ask to make them warm) and close to Krispy Kreme.

There is also another place next to Daddy Donuts that serves eclairs that are very good.

All are overpriced..........but TIT.

I just had some Krispy Kremes in Seoul...yuuummmy...but pay for it on the treadmill or spinning classes...

I heard they are coming to Bangkok in the not distant future...

{Mister Donuts, yuck....)

Franchise still up for grabs........ might be settled one day soon.

Had them in Indonesia, nicely manufactured, presentable.....but very very sweet.

There is a Indonesia rip off of KK in Seacon square called Bapple.

Last time I was in Seoul, I brought back 2dozen original.

At the airport I saw a Japanese girl carrying 3. :)

I don't get why KK are so popular.. It's like you're eating sugary damp tissues.. very ordinary..

Give me the warm jam doughnuts or warm cinnamon doughnuts ( popular in Australia) over KK anyday.

I've had plenty of them of various varieties, but rarely spend money on them. I just think they're overly sweet and not that special. And I have a very sweet tooth.

That's not to say I don't enjoy watching the production line process in the shop.

I used to eat Dunkin Donuts, but their London shops are gone.

Oh I hope so and soon. I love KK. LOL even if I'm sorely over weight and out of shape.

Now to have "Pat's steaks" from S. Phila. imported.

cheers,

K

I took your recommendations and went to DD yesterday. I choked down two of the four I bought and threw the other two in the trash. Too each his own, of course, but for me "yuck".

Where is the Krispy Kream outlet in Bangkok?

The cholesterol challenged need to know. :)

There isn't but just go to Dunken Donuts?

Daddy Donuts is terrible.

If there was a KK in Bangkok the two matronly Thai ladies on the Thai Airways flight on Tuesday from London would be pretty sick. Their carry-on luggage consisted of large Harrods carrier bags stuffed with Krispy Kreme donuts!

I surmised that perhaps donuts do for Thai ladies (suffering from Mia Noi perhaps) what chocolate does for equivalent farang ladies.

Has Harrods stooped to fast American food?

As far as I know, except for generic local things like supermarket brands and independent bakeries, the only chains in BK are Mister Donut, Dunkin Donuts, and a kind of weird chain that sometimes shows up along with Coffee World called 'The Donut Baker' or something like that.

You can find Krispy "Kreme" in some cities in the U.S. I can send you some if you like as there is one in my state. Yes, just one. They are popular but you do not see millions of branches such as with McDonald's, Burger King, etc. I was not aware they even had tried expanding overseas.

Friend of mine reported he had 2 krispy kreme donuts on an Air Asia flight last week. He thinks they are coming from Singapore . The bastard wouldn't stop talking about them. It makes zero sense to me as air Asia is a "budget" airline

Krispy Kreme is average if it's not fresh out of the oven - I see people bringing them on flights and I laugh, by the time they get to their final destination they're very average, and often smashed to bits!

Daddy Donut and Bapple are the same - eat fresh out of the oven, otherwise average.
