Time for a new thread.

I am always on the lookout for reasonably priced hotels that provide wifi, either free or for a reasonable price. Feel free to include Sukhumvit hotels but since I don't stay on Sukhumvit myself, lets be sure to add in other areas as well.

It would be great if people could also review the place they are suggesting, if you've never stayed there or don't know anyone who has stayed there, please be sure to include that info.

Pathumwan house is quite reasonable and offers in-room wifi for 100 baht a day. I 've never stayed there so can't say how fast it is or how nice the rooms are but the location can't be beat, it is across the street from MBK down Soi Kasem San 1. it is near the end of the soi so a bit of a walk but doable if you are reasonably healthy.

Type of rooms

Standard: A room with a big king-sized bed; facing inside of the building and available for 2 people. 1000 baht

Twin: A standard room with 2 single beds. 1100 baht

Deluxe: standard room, but facing outside of the building and having windows or balcony. 1200 baht

Superior: A one-bedroom suite consisting of a living room, a bedroom, and a bathroom; facing inside of the building and available for 2 people. 1600 baht

Suite: A two-bedroom suite consisting of a living room, 2 bedrooms (1 standard and 1 twin), and 2 bathrooms; available for 4 people. 2100 baht

All rooms are fully furnished with air-conditioner, refrigerator and television. The bathroom was attached with a bathtub and hot shower.

Omni Tower in Soi 4 Sukhumvit charges for internet. Last March it was 500 baht per day and I see from their website that it is 150 baht per hour.

Citin Pratunam's website says they offer free in room wifi or LAN, cheapest room is 1449/night. but it doesn't appear to be walking distance from a BTS or MRT station.

All seasons Sathorn is 1423 baht a night and also says they offer wifi but one reviewer on agoda says their internet is expensive, It is about 1k from the MRT and the BTS.

**edit, wifi is free but the internet kiosk costs.**

Honeyhouse on Sukhumvit 22 is quiet nice and affordable, rooms start at 690, but I would recommend the 890 baht room.

Free wifi in all the rooms at both Honeyhouse 1 & 2, good signal.

Yes Soi 8 the Royal Asia Lodge and paradise, very excellent room free internet. Very good Breakfast Buffet, I must say I was well surprised 890 baht. You can book online.

Wendy Guest House soi Kasem san 1 (opp MBK) has free in-room wifi, clean basic rooms with a tv and fridge but its quite basic. Breakfast is included and they are very nice people. There is a big building going up next door so the noise can be pretty amazing tho.

1100 baht a night, a bit expensive for what you get but the location, walking distance to MBK, can't be beat.

Admiral Suites Soi 22 Sukhumvit.

I got the internet rate of 1266 baht/night and then managed to convince them to upgrade my room from their standard room to a deluxe. The rack rates are higher, so check the web. I was actually a walk-in but I had checked the Admiral Suites site before going there and I ended up going behind the front desk and showing them the internet rate and they had no problem with giving me that price once they saw it.

Wifi is included in the room rate and I was able to watch videos on youtube with no problem. My room, although not a suite per se, had a kitchen area with fridge, 4 burner stove, sink and came with cooking and eating utensils. There was also a little office and a "walk-in closet" (electronic safe in there as well) and of course an attached full bathroom. There is also a rooftop pool, a little gym and laundry facilities. About a ten minute walk to Phrom Phong BTS.

I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Overall, an excellent stay and good value for my money.

Spoke with the Pinnacle Lumpinee on the phone, they have free in room wifi. The rooms run about 1000 baht a night on Agoda., I understand they've undergone renovation lately, is the work finished and has anyone stayed there since they've renovated? I like the location, its really close to the MRT and, from what goinghomesoon tells me, a great little Chinese restaurant.

SBK, why not just get yourself a blackberry or similar with unlimited EDGE for 650 baht a month. Surf the web at any hotel you want or like me while taking a dump in the morning after my first espresso.

You can even connect your notebook to it via USB and surf on it if you would rather.

Veronica Suites at Suttisan is a very nice boutique hotel with great rooms. Last time i stayed it was 1600 baht including a very good breakfast and free wireless internet. If you don't have a wireless laptop then they will provide a LAN cable free of charge. It's a little bit out but only 150m from Suttisan Subway station.
