I am sure someone has tried all this before so give me the scoop.

I live in Esaan and want to go into lao and Vietnam on my wheels.

Is this possible, and if yes, how to proceed ?

Did this some years ago, I think in 2006, the car must be fully paid, not in lease or finance anymore.

All related documents to the vehicles including insurance, tax etc. must accompany , you do have to apply

for a so called passport to your car with which you can cross the border. I did this at Nong Khai, there are several offices who are going to handle this for you, takes about 2 ours and if do remember right it was about 2.000,- Baht.
