Vegetarian Festival 2009

Date: 19th – 28th October 2009

Location: Chiang Mai

The Vegetarian Festival is an annual religious festival. The aim of this festival is to teach people not to exploit animals, which Buddhism regards as friends, living in a shared world. The food we eat must exclude meat.

From 16th -18th October 2009, Chiang Mai is celebrating the Vegetarian Festival at Chiang Mai Buddhist Association Hall and will distribute vegetarian food throughout these 9 days. Also, vegetarian shops all over Chiang Mai are preparing various kinds of vegetarian dishes and promotions to support this festival.
