6mo/10,000 Mile Honda Service

Featured Replies

Does anyone know what the Service they provide is exactly and should I even bother with it since I have only driven 500km? Does anyone else do a super low mileage? I more or less drive in a 3km radius between Sukhumwit Soi 24 and Soi Ekamai, never going past Rama 9. I guess I am not getting my money's worth

You should replace oil and filter for engine every 6 months even with only 100 km. Thats basicly what the service for a new car is about.

You've only done 500km's in 6months. All short drives. you should in fact change your oil regularly every 6mths at least. I would also suggest that you get the car out of BKK every now and then and open it up.

Why o why did you buy a car in the 1st place. Ahhh thats why...YoungNRich12

I've got a CRV and done 10,000 in two years mostly because the car is, in my opinion junk and I hate to drive it, I've had one service but I fail to see the reason for getting oil changes every six months if the car does not reach the required mileage, this 6 months service regardless of whether the vehicle leave the car port or not is simply none sense.

Once a year or 10,000km is often enough. The contaminants that form in the engine are kept under control by the additives in the oil. But over time the additives breakdown from the heat and stress. Always change the oil filter when your changing the oil.

6 months and 10k km the oil is often cleaner than 6 months an 500km. Short trips with low rpm and rather cold engine gives much polution to oil, like fuel, soot and water.

Highwaydriving at 120 kmh there is almost no wear on oil. its the citydriving and time thats make oil change needed

Driving can be a real headache at first but once you learn a few tricks about avoiding traffic, you would be amazed at how much harder it is to use public transportation. The expense is justified from my perspective.
