I think what you are after is an MP3 FM Modulator. You plug it into the cigarette lighter and in turn plug your memory stick into this modulator. Then you need to tune your FM radio to a blank frequency and then tune the modulator to the same frequency.

Thanks guys, actually I should have been clearer, sorry about that. I didn't want the FM device, already been using that for years and radio interference is bad in cities with the Fortuner rear built antenna.

I read before somewhere in Bangkok that the 6XCD music player was adapted to take a direct cable port input, but it may have been for an Ipod. It worked similar to an aux and the DISC button on 6XCD player switched between CD and Ipod device and track buttons on 6XCD player flicked between Ipod tracks . Surely there is something for the music on a USB stick crowd?

In Commtech at Queen Sirikit Center this weekend they are pushing full replacement full screen player sets for Fortuner and like with built in USB, SD Card readers, Bluetooth, GPS and DVD, DIVx players and rear view camera. From 10,000BHT - just pull out original player box mounted set and push in this. Unfortunately the units I saw by Worldtech and Techline look cheap crap that would cheapen the look of the car. Will have to find some higher end models I guess.

Yea, in Bangkok this thing doesn't work the best for all the radio stations. However, this did the trick for me when I was working in Saudi, helped me keep my insanity!

Kenwood 33,000B for controller. TV & GPS unit extra or buy the Kenwood 39,000B unit which will accept any NAVI or other 3rd Party GPS unit (not real sure on the details of how this all works.... :) ).

My FIL installed the 33,000B Kenwood controller into his Fortuner, very nice piece of equipment albeit expensive.

The Kenwoods look better than those offered by Worldtech and Techline. May consider that option later, but seems a pricey way just to plug in a USB stick that is my current objective. In meantime I have gotten around FM interference in city by using the rear 12V power outlet close to the FM antenna of Fortuner.
