Shops In Patong Selling Xxxl Shirts For The Larger Farang? (ie Me)

Featured Replies

I need some new shirts fast - any recommendations would be much appreciated!

(sorry if I appear to be a n00b spamming your board, I have just arrived in Thailand and will be very grateful if anybody has some good advice for me :) )

Few years ago found the night stalls in Patong had loads of 2 and 3 XL. my friend visiting 2 weeks ago went as I asked for more 3 XL, he said they had XL and 2 XL, then the next size was 5 XL........ Likewise with trousers appears they go to size 44" then nothing till 58 then 60 and 62...... edit: not a lot of good as I like them baggy so size 48.

Possibly the 2XL shirts would be ok .... I am going by UK sizes and my trousers are 42" at present. I will look at the night stalls next time I'm in Patong, cheers! :)

If you are not already in Patong, buy ya togs in Bangkok first – cheaper too mutt.

Probably more sizes too from ‘widdle Somchai’ up to ‘Farang Utang’.

Buying shirts in thailand you need to go one size larger, i buy xl in aussie but have to buy xxl to get a good fit in a better quality shirt here, make sure you try one on before you buy.

Try the export shop on the ground floor of the Ocean Shopping Centre just down the road from Robinson. Bought lots of Big Dog T-shirts there.

Sizing is all over the place.. You can buy 2XL of one style and it be anything from L to XXXL in a range..

Also 3 washes and lots of the market shirts are shrunk a size or so min.

They may seem cheap but they last relatively little time.. I buy 10 at once and junk em fast.

The one in Phuket Town, Trd?

That's the one. They also sell winter clothing. Big jackets and pullovers. Useful if you find yourself short of warm clothing before a trip to a cold country.

Interesting. I love the big dog boxer shorts and they are all labeled Made in Thailand, but they are all sent to the US.grrrrrrr.

Tks for the info!
