Problem With Smeg Service In Thailand

It would seem that Smeg , have washed their hands , when it comes to Smeg Thailand . Disputes numerous emails to the Smeg head office , it still took 10months and 5 visits to repair a top of the range integrated micro wave , that had only worked for six hours from new . When they finally managed to repair it.

During the 10 months period , again a top of the range hob that was purchased at the same time as the microwave, packed up , the electronic ignition failed . The " engineer " repaired it, within one hour of the repair , sparks flew across the kitchen , when my wife used it , and to this day you can still see the hole that it blew through the alloy ring on the burner. The digital display on the oven , that again was purchased at the same time as the other appliances , no longer works .

From our experience , smeg products are rubbish , and there after sales service is rubbish too. Will certainly replace rather than repair when the next fault occurs .

Also the other European brands in Thailand give a low quality. 

 

Especially Hafele is pure junk but they all do it since the Thai have never seen real quality products...If electric power outfall causes equipment to break down than maybe they should protect electric equipment for that in Thailand.

 

But also the customerservice in Thailand is very bad, Samsung even didn't pickup their helpdesk line which they gave me after i paid for 3 years extended warranty. And when i tried many other servicenumbers i finally got somebody on the line but none of the staff could speak english...kob kun krab,
