My partner is planning to do a business management degree in Sydney. The course start Feb 2006 which is pretty far away (she cant come for the July 2005 start). What we were thinking if its possible to come on a tourist visa for 3 months before the course then change to a student visa when she starts?

ive got around 400,000bt in my account and she will have around 60,000bt-70,000 saved plus a gift payment from her parents (something around the 50,000bt - 90,000bt mark).

Her parents have a large annual income of close to one million bt or something if that helps. We have been together for around one an a half years in the long distance relationship and by the time she'll be here it'll be around 2 years+

We are both still young (i'm 2I and she is 23) she already has a degree in English Humanities. Would this affect anything with getting the visa's ?

We dont feel right doing the defacto visa or anything like that because of our age and as much as i like travelling thailand. living there doesnt appeal to me.

Thanks
