November 25, 200916 yr Can anyone help? My family and I will be travelling to Chiang Mai over the Christmas period and need a mini bus as we will have friends staying with us. We want to show our friends all the sites and places of interest in and around Chiang Mai but are struggling to locate a mini bus that we can hire (we have a friend who will drive, Thai) Does anyone know of any place that rents out vehicles at a good price?

As rodcourt49 implies (I think), every place/person with mini-buses/vans I know of only rent them with driver. Since you have at least one Thai speaker, you really have lots of choices and I am sure other posters will be suggesting someone they know. You shouldn't want to drive, anyway. The convenience of having a driver that knows the area and can go stand by somewhere to come pick you up with just a cell phone call........what more needs to be said?
