Passed by Central Airport Plaza this morning and saw a huge banner posted out front with the logo from Thai alternative rockers Modern Dog's new album แดดส่อง.

Upon closer inspection it revealed that they would play the Lanna Hall (large hall inside Airport Plaza) tonight... and I managed to get a ticket for free...

The show was great. Did anyone else see it?

i did not see it but maybe you can help me . I am from the U.S. i am coming there in2 days . Should i bring cash and travelers checks or one over the other ? is there a exchange rate difference > thanks for your help

What you should bring is a credit card or your ATM card, since there are ATM's which accept international bank cards virtually everywhere in the Thai cities these days. You use your PIN number from back home to make your withdrawal in the local currency and your account at home is then debited at the present exchange rate. A fee of 5-10 USD is usually deducted for each transaction. Check with your bank if your ATM is valid for overseas machines, and what they charge you for making withdrawals overseas.

Between cash and traveller cheques I would opt for traveller cheques, because the exchange rate is better and because you can get the money back if they are stolen.

A small amount of emergency cash in USD is always handy, like 100 or so.
