French Man Expires In His Soi Beokeow Apartment

French man expires in his Soi Beokeow Apartment.

Police Majors Pongsawat and Sutum from Pattaya Police Station received information from staff at the Utid Court Guest House on Soi Beokoew regarding one of their foreign residents who had expired. In room number 201 on the 2nd floor, Mr. Serge Flocard aged 68 from France was found with no cloths on sitting on the toilet. Police checked the room for clues as to why he passed away and found clear evidence that he had been suffering from some form of abdominal complaint. Around the bedroom, human waste was found on the bed. A friend of the dead man confirmed that Mr. Flocard had been ill for some time. His body was removed from the scene by a Sawang Boriboon Rescue Unit and was transported to Banglamung Hospital where a post mortem examination will take place to confirm the cause of death.

-Pattaya City News

Many people seem to die sitting on the toilet...it seems as though the body needs to make one last release before death......68 years though is not very old....

Maybe he was killed by laxatives. That is not a joke. There are tiny yellow pills that are so tiny that some 'bad' bar-girls give elderley 'clients' so they need the toilet 'urgently' within hours.

They then have time to search for valuables, watch some Thai T.V. and bid their 'farewells' whilst the recipient is passing loose motions in the bathroom.

Death by Laxatives is how the 'Pattaya Mail' described a similar incident about 3 years ago. Since then I don't eat tiny yelllow tablets, for any ailment.

This is yet another 'suspicious death' in my eyes.

The correct term for it is passing away

laxobiggery....... death due to struggling to extrude an extremely large turd.

Bit odd from the photos - I would have guessed he would have fell on the floor. :o

we have slagged off the pattaya news for showing pictures of this poor man dead on the toilet , but that hasnt stopped us all laughing and making cheap jokes about turds and frenchmen.

there is something very sad about this story.

an old sick man dies alone in a cheap shoddy room thousands of miles from his homeland , his graceless demise is published for all to see , and all we can do is laugh and make childish jokes.

shouldn't it make us stop and think about our own situations here , and the situations of other people living alone , perhaps with few friends and nobody to turn to if they needed any help.

are there any falang run organisations in any of the towns that have large expat populations where the sick , lonely or depressed or those needing some kind of aid can turn to.

how does somebody living alone who is sick manage to feed themselves.

when we read about such stories , perhaps we should try to picture ourselves in the situations that we read about.

to be sick and alone must be the worst possible situation.

Exactly. Just change the name of the deceased, apartment, and perhaps add "a computer still turned on, with an Internet Explorer window opened to thaivisa.com...."

I think that's the reason why some of these posters NEED to joke about it. Because they know they are not so far detached from the scenario in question.

The Pattaya expats club has various information to help expats including advice for disabled people.

There must be members here who can help in some way in organising aid for the elderly sick.
