Doctor/clinic/nurse For Road Rash

I've been in town for almost two weeks, and for the most part everything has gone amazingly well. However, I had a small motorbike accident right across the bridge from the Holiday Inn and scraped up my arm.

I tried to clean it out at my friend's house, but it's in a really awkward spot so I just went to the hospital. They were really nice, and it was inexpensive, but the nurse basically just rubbed iodine/betadine on it and bandaged it up. I tried to point and tell him there was a lot of dirt in the wound, but he didn't understand and I figured I just man up and clean it out myself after I got back to the guest house.

I tried my best to clean it and thought I did a good job, but it's two days later and I think someone needs to look at it.

Can anyone recommend a good option? I don't think I need any extensive care, just some level of medical professional who is able to clean a wound and give me instructions that I can follow on keeping it in good shape.

Thai professionals are fine, but I've only learned enough Thai to be pleasant and need to be able to communicate with someone about the state of things and what I need to do.

Thanks in advance.

As always for almost all medical care: Sripat special clinic, 13th floor. They've cleaned my scraped cuts since 2003. An MD-specialist in limb injuries is often on duty. Cheap and effective. No long waits.

with respect for other opinions !

but my vote for this one goes to doctor morgan on hang dong road

her surgery is very near airport plaza but if you wanted her to clean and treat your injury at your home or hotel ?

i dont think that would be a problem.

give her a ring or e mail her if you want professional help very quickly

"No long waits" ?

I'm quite a regular customer at Sripat and I don't think I've ever waited less than one hour, sometimes much longer, in what is always a very very busy, crowded clinic. The appointment slip stresses how important it is to be "on time" but the doctors regularly arrive for their 9am clinics 45 minutes late. On top of that you get there 30 minutes before 9 am finding dozens of people already before you in the queue and get issued with ticket No 16. Long waits every time ! You either get special treatment or maybe you arrive dripping blood all over the floor. I think you've posted before how quickly you are always seen at Sripat. Very strange. It just occurs to me that you think 60/90 minutes is not very long but compared to CMR, it is.

At Chiang Mai Ram you walk in and are seen almost immediately.A very pleasant experience.Never had a long wait at CMR and they've treated my frequent abrasions and other problems, very professionally. Though, after a while you learn to refuse buying their medications and get them at the chemist for half the price.

Dr Morgan, without doubt will give you first class treatment and you will also not be overcharged for any medication that you need.Which is not the case at some other places.

In my opinion she is the best general practioner in Chiang mai
