I think England will be happy with the draw, can't see too many problems in the group stages. Group G looks tasty!!

They should piss that group, but England being England. They will do the usual and depend on the other teams results.

Yeah, back in the late 1700's, England was pretty happy with their "draw" but, if I recall correctly, the Brits (led at game end by team captain Cornwallis) just went home with a Silver.

Very cool draw, England vs. USA and Brazil vs. Portugal are going to be fun games to watch, and Spain will also face two countries in the New World who speak their language, as well.

For me almost every group looks difficult for all teams involved, except for Spain's really.

Pretty happy with the draw, especially if England win the group and if Germany win group D we'd be playing Australia, Serbia, or Ghana in the next round...not the hardest route...

Spain are the current favourites I believe. But it is more than likely they will face either Brazil or Portugal in last 16. Both will be anxious to avoid the Spanish.

Re England- USA they met in 1950 in Brazil USA winning 1-0. In those days communications were very basic. One Fleet Street paper assumed the result was an error and credited England with a 10-1 victory.

Should be happy with Englands draw, as if they can't progress from their group they don't deserve to be at the finals.
