Yahoo Messenger

At the request of friends/family in the U.K. I downloaded Yahoo messenger. I ticked the boxes:don't accept toolbars and extras etc. Now Yahoo has taken over my pc browser, stolen 1cm of space with Yahoo stuff and I can't close it plus added a load of favourites.

What can I do? In fact, what did I do wrong?

Yahoo is VERY bad like that. I refuse to even contemplate installing any of their stuff. It should count as malware. Why don't you insist that they install something good like the free and fabulous eyeball chat..... http://www.eyeballchat.com/download/

if you right click the web cam screen and reduce the quality settings you can get a fair video chat abroad.

Otherwise you can change your browser to something other than Explorer as they offer more control over 3rd party plug ins. See http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?sh...hl=browser+wars for more details of alternative browsers.
