Colouring In Books In Chiangmai?

Recommended Posts

Anyone know where I can find colouring in books or other kids arty type toys?

Need to get some Christmas presents so after a wad of cheapish colouring in books or crayons or pencils etc.

If anyone knows where I can get stuff like that in Chiangmai please let me know.

Thanks

Not sure if they have colouring books, but there is a huge stationery shop in town that has all sorts of stuff, paints, pencils, crayons, paper, glue, scissors, thread to make friendship bracelets, all sorts of stuff...

It's on the same road as the Irish Pub, just near Tae Pae Gate.... coming from Tae Pae Gate, it's on your left, just next door to the big optomotrist shop, it's a three story place and is before the Irish Pub... across the road from it is Paradise Pizza.

Hope this helps...

It is called Udomporn and the staff there are great and the prices are very reasonable. They give you a discount when they see that you are a somewhat frequent customer and that includes foreigners.

That's a good choice. Best though I think are D.K. Book Center on Kotchasarn Road South of the intersection with Loi Kroh, and Suriwong Book Centre on Sridonchai Road, before the intersection with Kamphaeng Din when coming from the South Eastern corner of the moat.

Then there's Robinson's at Central Airport Plaza; more English language books there, at a price. This is the best place for toys, too.

For cheapo coloring books I think D.K and the above mentioned stationary store are just fine.

Not really applicable to your situation, but for 100 baht they have a discount card which gives you a serious 20% discount on the first Saturday of each month. Useful if you are planning a big purchase.

Actually, they have a lot of office supplies that we use, but, from our experiences, they seem to not be that strict about only going on Saturdays once they know you.

Is stationary all they do? :D

The stationary store that WTK's on about, op, is on the third floor of Robinson's (east side of Airport Plaza) and is called B2S. Walk to the end for the colouring books and to the back for the art supplies. Nice atmosphere in there... you can sit and flick through the books in relative peace :)
