Vietnam Visa For Iranian Partner

Featured Replies

My partner is Iranian.

I'm told by the embassy of Vietnam in BKK that she needs an invitation letter, from Vietnam, in order to apply for a visa.

I've contacted a number of agencies in Vietnam but none seem able to help.

Positive suggestions re. how to proceed, gratefully recd.

You used to have to do the same to get into Russia, not sure about it these days. When I went there I paid an agency, who wrote the invite for me and got the visa. This was in the UK though. No idea if there would be an agency for Vietnam in Thailand.

There's a website, I think you'll find it attached to the VN embassy website (that's where I found it in Seoul) and you just fill out a form on line telling them personal details and travel plans. Withing 24 hours they'll tell you your letter is ready and you send payment (cc or Western Union) and within 24 hours of that they'll e mail you the letter of invitation, print out a couple of copies and your away. I say a couple of copies because sometimes the airline want to keep a copy when you check in. Then you just turn up to immigration with the letter, a photo and a further payment (circa $25) and it's all done and dusted.

I can't remember the website but I'll check and get back if I find anything. :)

Hello...

I am USA retired citizen tried to retire in Vietnam

I am asking if possible to apply direct from Vietnam?

Use Vietnam bank accounts statements?,

Use Vietnam medical reports?,

Use Vietnam police report?

Use EMS mail to Thailand Immigration?

This may sound crazy but I lived in Vietnam 4 years... Now VISA Vietnam renewals changed for

non working foreigners... must leave Vietnam every 3 ~ 6 months re-apply for new VISA at airport...

Please advise who to contact or how to get this problem question answered..

Seeking answers to sending application for Non Immigrant VISA from inside Vietnam to Bankok...

Thank you in advance for all advice

Bluddy typical, went straight to it.

Tried it out and it still seems to work okay. Good luck. :)

Many thanks for the suggestion. (It's the 'I' word which causes the trouble. Iran is not on the list.. Or rather it's on the tricky list.)

Now hoping personal contacts in Vietnam can help but I think it's a dilemma most Iranians face.

Thanks for the reply.

Tried three or four travel agencies, all in the Nana 'mid east' area here in BKK, and all said no can do. None had any links to agencies in Vietnam. :)

That's odd I would have thought Iran would have been okay here but of course the country is still in it's infancy with respect to tourism.

I'll ask around over the weekend and try and find out more.
