Blue And Yellow Taxis Won't Pick Up From Chiang Mai Ram

A friend of mine recently had a rather delicate operation at Chiang Mai Ram hospital. When it came time to leave he asked the staff to call him a blue and yellow taxi, but was told they wouldn't pick him up from Ram.

Did he get a staff member who didn't know what she was doing or have the tuk tuks and red buses got the market tied up? If it's the latter they should be ashamed of themselves. He was in a delicate state and would have appreciated the relative comfort/lack of jolting of a proper car. Tuk tuks and red buses are very often not suitable ways to leave hospital!
