Boater Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva has expressed concern over the perennial water problem on the island. He said he had been getting letters from both locals and residents complaining about the acute water shortage on the island. The government, he added, would study ways to remedy the problem. longtom Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Looks like one project was already started, they're making a seawater inlet for a 'reverse osmosis plant' at Lipa Noi beach, between Nikki resort and Lipa lodge. Anybody knows more about that?
Rooo Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Ban swimming pools, golf courses. Golf courses? Hmmmmmmmmmmm absolutely, the amount of water they use is phenomenal & for what or whom? Swimming pools? Hmmmmmmmmmmm no, well looked after, they are a plus, don't need daily irrigation.
