What To See In Chiang Mai On Sunday?

Featured Replies

Hi,

i'll have whole day off on sunday in CM..so wondering what can do to best utilize my time......i'm looking for sight seeing, traditional market or something similar to that...i don't want to do any sports....

where is the best coffee shop in chiang mai?

anything else...

thanks

Try the sunday walking street market and right over the road is the best coffee house

MCDONALDS :)

Lots of coffee shops to try scattered all around the city. Same with markets :)

Everything being weather dependant as it is .. keep in mind a movie etc.

If you ride a motorcycle (or want to do the songtheaw thing) a trip up to the hill to Wat Doi Suthep is nice in the early morning.

My fave way to spend free time is just taking the dog ... getting on the motorcycle ... and doing some casual exploring!

The Sunday market starts at Thae Pae gate and goes inside the walled city.

I haven't done the whole thing recently, (I did walk across the gate part a couple of weeks ago) but there always seemed to be a lot more stuff that isn't always in the Night Bazaar, and you also have a lot more time and space to move around. If I'd had more time (and space in my suitcase) I would have given it a right going over.

I'd go to the zoo in the AM and Walking Street in the late afternoon.
