Ubon Ratchathani Airport Car Parking

Featured Replies

Is there a facility at Ubon airport where one can park for a few days, chained and under cover, similar to Udon Thani airport?

Thanks

No - don't think so.............

No, there isn't but you are welcome to park at my house under the carport if you want.

Can you just leave a car in the lot for a few days?

Certainly can. I'd just prefer to park it under cover and chained to the deck.

Having lived in NYC I can just picture it: A stripped car up on blocks with its no--wheeled chassis chained to the deck.

From what I've heard there's a good chance the car will go for a holiday across the border while you're away.

Friends and family won't take the chance, they either leave their cars parked at a friends house or get dropped off and collected on return.

So then I guess it's time for the DENVER BOOT -- CamaroBoot.jpg ... and it won't go anywhere.

.... and a collapsable tent with heavy base supports.

Thanks Jazzbo, I'll go with the secure car park option!! :D !!

On a slightly more serious note, when I used to go away years back and leave a car for an extended period of time, I would remove the rotor from the distributor cap... There may be some simple wire or master fuse you can remove from the electronic ignition under the hood that will render the car/pick-up un-startable without then proper part ...

Personally, no car to worry about here in Thailand and, after 30+ years of continuously owning a car in USA, I sure don't miss it ...

Is there a local phone number I can call for a taxi? I think I'll stick with parking in my own car port. :)

If there is a taxi service, will it be on time? That is the important question.
