Yellow Residence Book

This really rocked me. I bought a new Honda phantom. Thought it would go easy being I already have a truck and motorcycle drivers license. I thought everything i had my ducks all in line. Well the dealership says I cannot get green book till I show place of residence. They want a yellow book.The problem is the local amphur refuses to give me a yellow book because I am a single man the boss there says to register I must have a thai wife. With my truck and drivers license I had to go Bangkok and get a letter from embassy to get it through I quess that is the way again. My question is how many other guys are in the same situation? I already have a nissan truck and honda wave in my name donot understand the problem.
