This Isnot News It Is Question

Featured Replies

From the OP:
... one friend... stated if I wanted it to talk to a mutual friend of ours whom she worked with before to do this for another foreigner.

Are you saying that a friend told you that a friend of hers arranged a permission to stay in Thailand for a foreigner without the need for a "report to stay"? If so, this would be third-hand hearsay, wouldn't it?

Now, if this foreigner being referred to scanned and posted his visa and permission to stay, this would be news. The OP is not.

For lack of specifics, this topic is about an unfounded rumour and therefore closed.

I donot understand the reason my thread was closed. Is this not a forum where we ask questions get answers? I really want to know if any others have experienced anything like this. Or know of othwer instances similar. I feel closing my thread was uncalled for and criteria to keep it open was gouing to extremes.

Also it wasnot hearsay the woman who related this tols me participated in the last sponsorship.

If you can find ANY documentation on this from Immigration (it doesn't exist) or scan a copy of the relevant passport visa etc it is real ...

Since this isn't something that is offred in Thailand it is hearsay.

Thank you for your reply but if I had that info I wouldnot be posting in the first place

Ok I will drop it but if it is true donot expect me to ever post how it is done here on this forum. I can plainly see the powers that be have made their decision about the thread thank you. I will accept closure and leave it at that.

Sadly a UK friend at San Noi died last year of cancer, he was 48 year old.

He was here in his teens, Yes he had such a stamp, he was on his 3rd 10yr stamp... No he never did 90 day reporting..

I know and see often both his 1st Thai wife and his 2nd Thai wife.

I remember he did say that he had to have 200,000baht to renew his 10year extension.

I always thought it was because he had been here so long, also done Military Service here..

No he had no investments here, so was not because of that.

I personally took him to Immigration in BKK in mid 2004 for the new extension, and yes it was for 10 years..
