Washing Machines In Rental Homes

Recommended Posts

In condos I used one of the in house laundries. In my houses I have had a machine. One place had a machine there, fairly new and acceptable and another place I bought one.

I wouldn't use a shitty old machine if it was left behind.

As for cost, I mentally discounted the new price of 8k to 2k (2nd hand - might get more) over 12 months, making it Bt500 a month over the year.

Apart from having a baby which makes having your own machine a necessity, in a condo block, you sort of have to pass the laundry each day but when you live in your won house, the effort of taking your laundry to be cleaned and picking it up again is more than the effort required to do the laundry yourself.

Now I know why someone on another thread mentioned having to move 60cum of personal belongings when moving house... :)

My condo units are fully equipped, including a cleaning lady to do the laundry and ironing. My tenants need just to bring in their personal items and clothes. Minimal disruption and ready to go to the office the following day.

I rent a condo which has a hook up for washing machine in bathroom. Brought a new machine two years ago at Carrefore for around 6,000 baht (8-kg). Has more than paid for itself. When you start doing clothes, towels, sheets, etc. laundry gets quite expensive.
