I've wanted to go there for quite a while now but I can't seem to get any right answer when it comes to visas. I tried to call the consulate here in Bangkok December last year for the whole 2 weeks, either no one picked up the phone or someone did pick up and just hang up. I gave up and went to East Africa instead. Now I'm hoping to get there in August, I called again last week and the answer I got was "Enough Thai people went there". Last time I checked, this is not Bhutan we're talking about, where there're limited number of visitors each year. I called and called after that but nobody picks it up ever again.

I checked at one site and it says

"Passport and visa required.

However, visa not required provided holding a valid Schengen

visa. Stay allowed up to the expiry date of the Schengen visa,

provided passenger can (re-)enter the Schengen area with that

visa when traveling to/from Malta."

I also met one Thai guy on my latest trip to Europe saying he is going there next week. He said we, Thai citizens, could get a visa on arrival. I found it quite hard to believe considering Malta is now a part of EU, it shouldn't cut us some slack.

Can anyone confirm me which one is true?

Thanks.
