In the early hours of Thursday Morning, Police were called to the front of a Family Mart Convenience Store located in front of Soi 25 off the Naklua Road to assist a woman who stated that her handbag had been stolen. Police arrived and spoke with Khun Gidapar aged 21 who explained that she placed her bag on the ground for a matter of seconds as she checked her weight on a machine located outside of the store. A description of the man was circulated amongst officers who located the man meters away from where the incident took place. Khun Suchanon aged 22 was caught in possession of the bag which contained 950 Baht in cash, an ATM Card and driving license. The suspect and victim were taken to Pattaya Police Station and Khun Suchanon claimed he worked at Tony’s Discotheque on Walking Street and was on his way home when he seized the opportunity to take the bag. He was charged with theft and locked-up pending a court appearance.
