Worldwide Health Insurance

Featured Replies

I work in the Middle East (self employed) for 6 months of the year and will be living in Thailand for the other 6 months.

Im wondering if anyone can recommend a decent company for WorldWide Health insurance, one that covers for pretty much everything.

Im 34 fit healthy, and a non smoker.

Cheers will shop around and let you know the outcome in the next couple of weeks.

BUPA offers international coverage for all countries except for the USA [no wonder].

The thai. Insurances i know (i have BUPA) will not cover you for everything. They are more for smal emergencys.

But there are a lot of good insurances in europe for intern. cover. May check this: google, international health insurance http://www.healthcareinternational.com/

I have had Bupa for six of the seven years I have been living in Thailand, and they cover everything.

Forget about local insurance providers. They're all the same. Your're covered 10% for this, 72% for that, 50% for this, 89% for that. Never 100% full coverage for everything and for all countries - never.

If you want a quality insurance provider you gotta look at insurance companies e.g. Aviva of the UK - there are many. Google a bit and you'll find them. Avivia for example got a broker here in Thailand and an office in Singapore. 100 thousand Baht for a 50-years old as far as I can remember from what a friend told me, but you're insured up to 89 Million Baht per year anywhere in the world for whatever illness, in-patient/out-patient...

Cheers
