Hi,

im in thailand for about 5 month now. Always on 30day stamp on arrival.

Every 30 days i fly to Kuala Lumpur for 2 hours and return back to bangkok the same day.

Is there a limit of these back to back runs? Or can i do unlimited back to back trips to KL until i have no pages in my passport left?

Officially there is no limit but some border posts may start asking questions after 4 in a row.We never know how long this will last.

I cannot understand why you have not been getting Tourist Visas. Especially as they have been free of charge while you have been here.

Would only get 15 day visa exempt entry at land border crosing; 30 days by air. Double entry tourist visa from Vientiane would give nearly 6 months stay with extensions and a border run in the middle. Or fly out to Perth and obtain multiple entry Non-O visa on basis of visiting friends with copy of ID card/passport of Thai friend. Border run every 90 days; do final run just before visa expires to obtain new 90 day stamp stretching visa to 15 months.

why not drive to a cambo border instead of going all the way to kl ?

he didn't say where he was staying.

if he is in phuket the easiest way to leave the country and come back fast is to take the morning airasia flight to KL. you only need to stay at the KL airport for two hours and they have a flight back to phuket. and they don't have visa fees entering malaysia. last time i did this it took 8 hours door to door (i live 45min from the airport by motorbike)

edit: rereading the post he actually did say he always flew back to bangkok

my mistake
