On Monday Morning reports of a road accident were received by Banglamung Police on Highway 36 close to the PTT NGV Gas Station. A Black BMW car had overturned in the central reservation of the Highway and the driver, later named as Khun Gitipat aged 21, escaped unharmed. Police placed the man in handcuffs after a number of illegal items were found in the car and on the grass next to the car including drug taking paraphernalia, 2g of Crystal Methamphetamine and a loaded handgun along with 8,730 Baht in cash and 3 mobile phones. The man was taken to the Police Station where he was interviewed by Police Colonel Somnook, the Chief of the Station. The suspect confessed to taken some of the drugs inside the station before continuing his journey to Pattaya. He then lost control of the car due to his drug-induced state. It was discovered he had just been released on bail relating to a similar drugs and firearm case. Khun Gitipat is now behind bars once again awaiting a court appearance.
