Hi all. UK passport holder.

my non-immi visa expires in 10 days . so i need to do a run somewhere to try and get the longest i can .

the only option that seems to be talked about is the Laos run and a multi entry tourist visa .

my situation is semi married , i.e. only done the Buddha wedding, so no marriage visa option

44 yrs old. so no retirement option

we have a 2 year old baby (half Thai) but if I understand right that does not get me the carer visa.

i would like to get a non-immi O multi entry somehow as the 'in-laws' live not to far from the cambo border so 90 day exits are easy combined with a a in-law visit.

I'd like to go to the Philippines for a holiday . is the Thai consulate visa friendly there ? if so what would I need to take for the visa app.

The general consensus is anywhere but the Phillipines for a visa.

If you are on the birth certificate of the child you can get a non-O in Kuala Lumpur, with 100,000 in the bank you might even get a nmultiple non-O. Best bet is Perth, where you will gte a multiple with no problem.

KL for sure... you can get a 90 day extension without a work permit. One year with more than six months on the WP...

Nothing easy any more. every fn embassy jerk off makes his own rules. Pines is my second home and I love it . Never used it for a run as I have the forever Retirement visa. A great holiday if you avoid all the bs places like Angeles. Go down to Negros, Bohol or Cebu instead. Bantayan Island off Cebu is a beaut. Pick up a honey in Makati at the Cafe Cuba in the Greenbelt. Good luck. Embassy in Manila for your multiple. Fly Cebu Air pacific redeye for a bargain.

KL does not issue multi entry for child without marriage from last report here. And such a visa is never extend-able for 90 days for child or work. OP did not even mention a WP.

1 yr multiple non-O. very easy and straight forward in Perth..

If you do not want to see Perth, you can get a TG flight on Monday under 7 hrs direct at a Travel Agent is 21,000 baht, returning on Tuesday..

You need to make an appointment so you will get the Visa same day or while you wait..

I have just come back, I did make an appointment, arrived at Consulate at 9:30, she asked if it was OK to pick up at 2pm, others were in there waiting for there passports back.. even at 2pm pickup there is time to get to the airport before the TG flight... I went for 5 days so was in no rush..

I took many papers with me, but they did not want any, just pasport + photo + forms + 225 AU$

I am well over 50, always had yearly extensions for the past 7 years, but Perth was so straight forward may well go there again next year.. with a re enty before 4th March 2011 will give me almost 15 months

Did notice that younger people were handing in copies of a Thai persons I.D, and some sort of letter maybe invite? I took them but was not asked for anything. My moto is take everything but hand over the basic, if asked for more then I have it.

Edit: I am English... You will also need a 'e' Visa which is free and done online for Australia, got it in 24 hrs valid for 1 year.... Perth Thai Consulate is open Tuesdays and Thursdays, but closed for both Australian and Thai holidays so best to ask 1st.

Does anyone know about this? What paperwork is required to get a 1 year multiple entry non O visa if not 50yrs old yet?

You will not get in the Philippines. In Perth copy of Thai ID card and letter asking for visa to be issued for you to visit them will work.
