Ok... I overstayed my visa by more than two weeks. Now I have the money to get it taken care of. I plan on going to China soon, and I don't feel like going to the immigration office or doing a visa run. Would I be able to hand my passport in to the Chinese embassy here to get my Chinese visa if I'm still technically in Thailand illegally? (2000 baht for the visa= 4 more days overstay, so I could leave for China in 4 or 5 days) Or would I have to take care of my Thai visa first, then apply for the Chinese visa? Thanks.

Yes.
