Hi all. We're going to Vietnam for a month just six days from now and I want to get a new camera for my gf. She's been using my much loved Olympus 4040-C but it's time to let that beast have a well deserved retirement. What do you recommend?

I want to give her:

a point and shoot (she won't use the manual overrides, I might),

primary use will be travel photography,

costing between 10,000 and 15,000 baht and available in Pattaya,

which uses SDHC (got lots of them),

which can be easily carried in a purse (or maybe my pocket),

whose charging system isn't very bulky / heavy (we're on the go 3-4 months a year),

looks sharp and takes great pics,

nice to have a bit of a wide angle,

with 5 to 12 times zoom but not a super zoom (already have a Panasonic FZ18 times bought in the U.S.A. for cheap).

What would fit the bill? Or should I hold off and get one later?
