BANGKOK (NNT) -- Storm and blizzard in Chiang Mai left more than 1,000 households with wrecked buildings and farms.

Chiang Mai Fire and Rescue Office Head reported that a freak thunderstorm battered several districts in Chiang Mai and left several thousand people with some wrecked farms.

After the wild weather smashed into the city and completely destroyed Charun Wattana wooden temple in Chiang Dao district, built since 1984, with no budget for renovation.
