O-a Extension

Off I go to Immi.... Less that one month on my OA etc. All the stuff in place. The Immi vols offer a different form.. Get to the desk and NO! I'm told to get a Multi Re Entry permit since my visa is still enfore from one year out of my last entry..... Then, when that expires I will apply for the extension???

BTW, this was Sapan Hin Office????

Um, some confusion here. I seriously suggest that you either scan and post or photo and post a copy of your visa so that we can advise. Normally an OA visa lasts one year from the date of issue. Not the date that you last entered the country...some big confusion somewhere so show us the visa please.

The permitted to stay time is always one year from entry - not from issue. So if he has a multi entry type he can exit the country this week and if he enter before the visa itself expires receive a stamp for one year stay from now.

After expiration of a multi entry visa date (date on the visa) you must obtain a re-entry permit for any travel to keep your most current permitted to stay until date alive.

Advise exactly what you have so we may provide guidance.
