Hey

I would like to know if anyone has experienced a surgery to remove haemorrhoids, or/and undergone an intervention for a fissure

I know of some excellent surgeons in Europe (very little pain involved/new technique/ quick recovery...) but would rather have it done in the region this summer

Has anyone had it done in Asia (Bangkok is prefered), or does anyone know of any happy patients?

Is it better here or in any other Asian country? (I am going to Manila this summer and would not mind doing it there)

As it is reputed painful and I am not that a fan of the pain... :)

Thanks to everyone

Yes I had the operation a little over 3 years ago.

Cost was about 50,000 baht in the Ramkhamhaeng hospital, between soi 32 and 34 Ramkhamhaeng rd.

In on the Monday night, operated on first thing Tuesday morning, out of hospital on Thursday evening.

The operation itself was painless, well you have been knocked out so dont feel a thing.

Wouldnt advise getting on a motorcycle or lifting heavy weight for at least 2-3 weeks after the op.

I believe the naval hospital in Sattahip may be cheaper.

Bite the bullet and get it done, you know you want to, you know it makes sense.

Best thing I have done in ages, dont regret it, only regret not getting the op sooner.

Have been problem free since the op.

Thanks for the swift answer

One question though: you are saying that the operation itself was painless meaning that after.....?

I would not let make an operation if it is not realy necessary and the problems are to great. I live now since 15 years with that Haemorrohid problem and it was 10 years ago very worth. But since than it comes and goes and the last years its even better.

I know a friend who had done the operation and he said he would not let it make again. The first toiletvisits where similar to a birth? How he knows?

But sure shorter! And the Haemorrhoides came back.

So, for me a no!

Anal fissure and hemorrhoids are entirely different conditions.

With both, the choice of surgical intervention versus conservative management depends on the extent of the disease.

Where surgery is indicated, the procedure for hemorrhoids and for anal fissures are entirely different as are the risks.
