Has Anybody Obtained Non B Visa From Hong Kong?

My boyfriend gets a job here in thailand, unfortunately, his company can't provide him a work permit according to the company's registered capital fund. So he has to travel outside thailand to obtain the non B visa (3 months stay). He just got the Non B visa from singapore last month and i am wondering that anyone used to get or obtain Non B visa in Hong Kong. I have read many topics here but don't find any visa topic which mention of applying Non B visa in Hong Kong. (Actually, i want to fly there together with him during the yearly grand sales of HK. )

If anybody has any information, please advise me.

A mate went to HK and got a non-B (3 month) with no problems.

HK does not appear to be as 'visa friendly' as Penang but as long as the paperwork is in order should be no trouble.

Or, perhaps your BF does not want this answer.

Meanwhile, a non-B does not entitle your BF to work, he must get a work permit issued against the visa.

Yup, a few of my buddies just headed to Honkers for a few days on a visa trip. All back and hunky dory.

One thing they might note is that he's renewing B visas, so they may say 'shouldn't there be a Work Permit coming?'

People aren't technically supposed to rollover B visas.

I also plan to go to Hong Kong to get a Non B visa. I’m starting my own business. What documents are required when I submit my application there? How many days do I have to wait to get the visa? If I cannot get a Non B visa and have to come to Thailand on tourist visa, how can I apply for work permit later?

Thank you for all your answers. It's very useful for me.

The_Mong - I have thought the same thing that consulate may ask about work permit process and many questions will be coming. Unfortunately, his company can't provide him a work permit like i said before. I have another way that my bf should get the tourist visa from border and then renew Non-B after 1 month of tourists visa expiration. Really no idea.

I have to prepare and apply visa and work permit for my boss also but now i don't have any idea or information for my bf's visa.
