Residence visa interview

I have just heard from a colleague who has successfully obtained a residence permit, that part of the process was being interviewed and having a 'question and answer' test in Thai. The whole process was recorded on video!

Is this now a new requirement?

No, this interviews has been going on since 1999 I think, maybe earlier than that.

What were the questions and more importantly, what were the answers?  ::

The usual visa interview stuff. Speak about your life history, your commitment to Thailand.

They also want to see that your answers and details are are the same as in your application papers.

Nothing dangerous at all if your application data is true and correct. ::
