Coming To Bangkok Next Month

Featured Replies

What's the situation there like for foreigners at the moment? I'm moving to BKK at the end of next month and have already booked flights and first week's accommodation. I'm also in the process of finding tenants for my UK apartment. I'll be staying at Soi 23 Sukhumvit Road. Is that away from the trouble?

Are any of you having problems there at the moment?

We should know more in the next few days.

But I have lived in Thailand for a few years and haven't had any problem because of the protests.

chok dee na

(good luck)

it's always business as usual for us....

although i had trouble getting my haircut done coz of the shopping malls closure for the past few days

Nope........ Come on down. :)

Just don't wear a red shirt.

That's with a few kilometers of the hot spots. If things haven't improved by next month you'll be rethinking your trip.

Not any signs of the riot around Sukhumvit soi 23, where everything is calm and quiet. Business as usual In Soi Cowboy. Only the BTS not running could be a problem to get around in the city.

You will be very close to a lot of trouble as soon as you find a little side soi connecting Soi 23 with Asoke, but don't worry you will be in safe hands and soon you will be the proud owner of a few sick buffalos. Have fun :) !

NB: I live at Ratchadamri, so I might have to pick my way through the rubble when I come back next month.
