Prospects Of Working In Thailand?

I am a 60 year old dentist, still in private practice in WA.

I wondered if someone could advise me where and how to get started with emigration to Thailand with the idea in mind to work part time as a dentist either in my own practice or for a Thai dentist, perhaps even in Nakhon Sawan where my Ti lak comes from. I'm not worried about earning levels otherwise I'd go somewhere else. I was hoping to get a visa on the basis of having a "special skill".

I have made enquiries via the Thai embassy in Oz and other forums as well as Thai dentists but my questions must have ended up in the "too hard" tray.
