Australian passport holders can obtain 15 day visa exempt stamp (is not a visa) on re-entry at any official immigration land border checkpoint. That includes Pedang Besar and Sadao.

You will get a visa exempt stamp at any border for 15 days (starting the same day as no1).

She's just trying to milk you for a more extensive trip.

Take a VIP bus to Had Yai and a taxi to the border from there.

Visa run companies are overpriced and you will never know where you end up waiting for the next minibus for 4+ hours.
