Excuse mods I tried to post in recent visa in area but TOPIC closed

With 4 months left I was declined an early extension for 3rd year non o by 2 Offices

A letter from the Kings Foundation explaining I woud be outside the Kingdom for a charity would not sway a normally amenable office.

I had planned to get a re-entry but the holiday left 6th as only possibe day

I made an email appt and helpful Yvonne greeted us at 9am

I had but did not need wife her id passport bank statements etc

The $225 and application form an address in Oz and I left my Optus mobile should the visa be delayed (its only open Tuesday and Thursday am)

Only additional info we were asked where we were staying and as it was a Thursday and full of people were delighted to be told ready that am.The consul had an appointment but despite this I had vis all done by elevenses in aclean modern office cumfy sofas magazines in English should you prefer to wait.

We retired relaxed to Burwood casino where Asian and Falang food available a very reasonable prices in plush ambience 350 baht for more roast lamb than even I can eat.Of course if you go near the tables you see why the tucker is a give away!

The rooms have sliding rates online depending on the online deals.There are numerous GHs hotels and backpacker type places close to the consulate.The Burswood ran us 9000 baht but there are adeqaute places from $30 backpackers to $100 motels and GHs in both PerthFremantle

On my next solo visit I'll just take a cab to the Travelodge next door on a Monday night allowing Tuesday/Thursday pick up.The Travelodge Hotel $130-195 or 3-5k bahts is across the st from consulate and has the Armada bar and grill a coffee shop free newspspers.However there are many other choices.

We strolled the central mall while a waiting collection.A clean compact very modern town with scuplture ethnic foods and great views to Swan river,Old Ct House worth a squint,free entry had been a school and court house a short stroll from consul ,also the 3 phase cathedral nearby.There is avery helpful tourist info near the main square opposite the water feature and lots of weird sculptures.

Fremantle is well worth a detour its Martime and wreck museum fine beaches galleries and eateries,easily reached train bus boat or car half an hour SW at Swan estuary.
