Good Knee Specialist

Featured Replies

Dislocated my knee cap again and this time have some swelling. Can walk, not in any pain and have done this several times. Think I better get it checked out as it is a recurring injury.

Has anyone had any good experiences with any Docs that deal with this injury?

Any advice appreciated

Thanks

Dr. Chanakot at Rajivej does knee surgery.

Before considerdering anything radical (such as surgury) you should be stengthening you quadracepts (the mucles on the front off your thigh). This can be achieved with the assistance of a physiotherapist or you can do it on your own at a gym with guidence (if you need it) from the trainers

Hi

Dr Panya at Bumrungrad

He is operating on many (farang) sports people here...

and I don't think he will recommend to operate if physio & exercises will do the job...

Dr. Chanakot at Rajivej does knee surgery.

Yep and I can tell you he's recently been updating on knee techniques in Boston.

His clinic is just around the corner from Rajivej - much better than seeing him in the hospital (only Friday 4-30 pm anyway) and it isn't so rushed.

When he's in the country he starts his clinic at 5-30 pm Mon - Fri and 9am Sat.

Address: 407/2 Charoenprathet Road

Number:053 204545

Staff seem to answer phone around 5 pm.

just to add in my ten bob, dr paiboon chiangmai ram, he operated on my hip, and i believe he covers knees etc.

I personally know A doctor that does this kind of work. He's in Khon Kaen, message me i'll give you the information on him.

Thanks, great help.... Does anyone know if Dr Chanakot accepts BUPA?

If you make an appointment to see him through Rajivej Hospital, then BUPA is accepted for sure.

I'm not sure about his clinic though.

As a previous poster said, Dr Paiboon at RAM has a good reputation too.
