Lost Passport!

My mate just lost his passport with a multi Non-imm Visa in, which he got from the UK. Now he has a photocopy of his current stamp....but what can he do to get the rest of the 'Visa' back (i.e. the actual activation stamp for one year)???

Report of loss of passport

New passport

Request by Embassy to the Immigration Bureau to transfer the visa to the new passport

Procedure

Contact sub-section 4, command 4, administrative command, Immigration Bureau to write the request and fill in the relevant information, including name, surname, passport number, date of arrival, and flight number.

Check the details and the correctness of the information and the completeness of the new passport or other travel document. A police report stating the loss of the old passport must be handed in.

Check the evidence of arrival in the Kingdom by computer or with the arrival card (TM. 6) to make sure the applicant has entered the Kingdom legally.

If there is evidence of legal entry to the Kingdom, the visa will be transferred to the new passport.

In case of foreigner with application for extension of stay or residence in the Kingdom: Contact the respective sections according to the visa type or sub-section 1, immigration division 1, Immigration Bureau, according to circumstances, in order to write the request to transfer the visa to a new passport to wait or the decision of his application for extension of stay or residence in the Kingdom.

In the provinces, the foreigner writes a request and proceeds according to the above steps. A letter is then sent to sub-section 4, command 4, administrative command, Immigration Bureau which sends a copy of the request to sub-section 3, command 4, administrative command, Immigration Bureau in order to make an entry in the observation list. Although doesn't this info apply to the actual stamp in more than the sticker/stamp from the Consulate? Any ideas how to get that back? Contact the Consulate that issued it?

This line seems to answer that question - but only experience (which I do not have) can answer 100%.

If there is evidence of legal entry to the Kingdom, the visa will be transferred to the new passport.
