cardew Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 I'd like to know the postal address of the soi in Karon that runs off Patak Road opposite the Little Mermaid. The first bar in it is the Moon Bar and it also contains the Two Chefs, Karon branch. Also, does anyone know of a florist in Karon that delivers flowers which can be ordered from outside Thailand? Thanks.
Ping Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 You can tell the flower people to send them to Moon Bar, Moo 2, Patak Plaza, Karon. I don't know the actual street number of the bar, but this info will be sufficient to do the job.
MisterMan Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 are you sending flowers to a bar girl? She wont be happy with that! Isnt that Thania Rd? the rest is Tambol Karon, Ampur Muagn Phuket 83100

MisterMan Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 I don't think flowers in Thailand make the same impression as they do in the west. Girls in the west love to get flowers but I think in the Thailand she won't be so impressed and might feel that she would have liked to have the money.. sending flowers must be a minimum of 1000 baht right? Top up her phone card or something else.. or send her something made in your home country (not if you live in China). You can top up phone card with a Thai bank account Just my opinion . not that u asked. But it is OBVIOUS you have not spent to much time here.

cardew Posted May 3, 2010 Author Posted May 3, 2010 It might have been better if you had read my reason for wanting the address, but hey, why let the facts get in the way of a few smart a..se comments. I wish to thank a respectable, married Thai lady for a favour she has done me. I don't suppose she or her husband would appreciate my sending her a gold bracelet, or offering to top up her mobile, or any of the other suggestions, as she is not a BG. Most women in Thailand are not. Thank you to those that posted the address.
stuandchris Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 Just go to the local post office and ask. Not rocket science.
cardew Posted May 3, 2010 Author Posted May 3, 2010 Another smart a..se. I am in the UK, which is why I asked about ordering flowers from outside Thailand. And the people behind the counter in my local PO in the UK are, strangely enough, not familiar with the layout of the sois in Karon. Doh... Still, thank you for those who were helpful.
MisterMan Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Ok sorry. but you did say Moon Bar and most Thai girls working in a Bar are bar girls.
LivinLOS Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Ok sorry. but you did say Moon Bar and most Thai girls working in a Bar are bar girls. And zero 'respectable' Thai ladies would consider working there.. Even as a mamasan / manager..
stevenl Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Yes, he mentioned the bar, bus he said she was working in a restaurant in that soi. Come on, give the guy a break. He is trying to do a nice thing and thank somebody. Nothing wrong with that.

And zero 'respectable' Thai ladies would consider working there.. Even as a mamasan / manager.. I think I respect the BG more than the mamasan collecting BG fees, which is illegal. married or not. Sorry to say I still dont find flowers to fit thai culture on this occasion, but I v only been here for seven years, so I guess I missed something
cardew Posted May 6, 2010 Author Posted May 6, 2010 'The first bar in it is the Moon Bar and it also contains the Two Chefs, Karon branch.' 'Intended for the manageress of the restaurant for sorting something out for me.' LiivinginLOS and Katabeachbum have obviously been living there too long as they are unable to read what was written and produce yet more smart ar..e comments. The Moon Bar is a bar, and the Two Chefs is a restaurant. I identified the soi by both bar and restaurant to make it absolutely clear which soi I meant. The women who work in the Two Chefs are very respectable, as are many other women in the area. This is not to look down on the BGs in the soi, some of whom I know well. Job has now been done, she was apparently pleased with the flowers, thanks for the help.

Hope your flowers where successfull, these staff are used to t-ng t-ng farang
