Getting Into Bangkok

Featured Replies

Hi,

Planning a Bangkok run this week coming in from the south.

Will be coming in over the bridge. Then I need to get to Sukhumvit.

Normally I get in via soi 3, is that a problem at the moment?

Thanks in advance!

I've used soi 3 a few times over the past couple of weeks, and if anything, it's been quieter than usual.

i certainly haven't seen any problems there.

Have a good trip.

Soi 3 or straight off the tollway onto Sukhumvit. I use Toll way to Rama 4 and done past Queen Sirikit convention center to Asoke. No problems more than the usual. Police and soliders stationed along Sukhumvit but all minding their own business.

there is a thread on here saying suk is closed between 11 and 15. Not sure how long for though. I live on 13 and come in the same way but cut through 3 to the back of of 11 which has been good for the last couple of weeks. And it was fine on saturday.

See here. Nothing to do with the reds. Just great construction safety standards.
